Today’s ‘short ‘n’ sweet’ post is about gratitude and optimism.
It’s the seventh day into 2019 and I am already reminded that each day we are here we should walk in gratitude, even if life may not be how we would like it to be in a particular moment.
Last week I saw the ‘Happy New Years’, then I saw the ‘R.I.Ps’. It serves a reminder to many of us—including myself, that although we may want certain things out of life, the greatest gift is life itself.
Gratitude and optimism is not just to be exercised when things are going well, which I agree can be so easily done. It’s rare to see ‘#grateful’ written next to a somber social media post—but the rarity is also understandable.
Perhaps the real test of our ability to exercise gratitude and optimism, is when we face moments and situations outside of our control which require us to dig deep, and muster the energy to be optimistic and practise the art of gratitude.

Have a great week!
