November in a Nutshell

Reading time: 2 mins

So here we are. The first week in December. It’s hard to believe that the year is drawing to a close.

So much has taken place so far this year; I look back on November as a ‘breakthrough month’ (see New Year, New Me? for background).

Today and everyday, is all about the ‘G’ word.

Many of us have found that it can be tough to focus on being grateful when life throws us things we wish we could throw back.

Today’s post is a ‘take stock’ moment – a list of things for which I am grateful for my #NovemberInANutshell.

Doors closing
Doors opening
Rest and relaxation
Reflective moments
New horizons
New experiences
Lessons learned
Great company
New connections
Plenty of music
Nights out
Dancing ‘til my feet hurt
Plenty of laughter

There is a lot more to add to this list but the act of practising gratitude helps us to focus on the positive and shows us that no matter what happens in this life, there is always something good going on. Sometimes the ‘something good’ is there, standing big and bold in our faces. Other times, we have to a dig a little deeper to find it.

So what was your ‘November in a Nutshell’? Whether in the comfort of your own private surroundings or here online – l hope you can join me by listing yours. You may find that as your list starts, it can’t help but become longer, but don’t knock it! It’s a good thing!
